Mission

Our mission is to create a positive, inclusive community by fostering new connections with individuals with disabilities. CreateAT allows students to create assistive technology with their peers and for their peers, giving students with disabilities the opportunity to become more independent.

What is CreateAT?

CreateAT is a hackathon style event that aims to engage students in creating Assistive Technology (AT): any aid that helps an individual with a disability complete a task more easily and independently. We create teams of Makers, students designing and building the solution, with a Co-Designer, an individual with a disability who faces a daily problem that can be fixed with a relatively simple tool, the AT.
